Our Commitment

We understand that our products are often purchased during some of the most difficult moments of a person's life. We are committed to making every experience with Grieving Is Breathing a positive one. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.

Print-on-Demand Products

All apparel and comfort products sold through Grieving Is Breathing are made to order through a print-on-demand fulfillment partner. Because each item is custom-produced at the time of purchase, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges due to:

  • Change of mind
  • Incorrect size selected by the customer (please refer to our sizing guide before ordering)
  • Minor color variations between screen display and printed product

Eligible Returns and Refunds

We will issue a full refund or replacement at no additional cost in the following circumstances only:

  • The item arrived damaged or defective
  • The item received is materially different from what was ordered (wrong item or wrong size fulfilled on our end)
  • The item was lost in transit and confirmed undelivered

To be eligible, you must contact us within 14 days of the delivery date (or expected delivery date for lost items) at grievingisbreathing@gmail.com with your order number, full name, and clear photographs of any defect or damage. Requests submitted without required information may be delayed or denied. We respond within 3 to 5 business days.

Store Credit Option — Earn 10% Extra

If you are eligible for a refund, you may choose store credit instead of a refund to your original payment method. As a thank-you, we will add 10% bonus credit on top. So an $85 refund becomes $93.50 in store credit. This is entirely your choice. Both options are always available.

Return Shipping

Return shipping is handled on a case-by-case basis:

  • If the return is due to our error (damaged, defective, or wrong item): Grieving Is Breathing will cover return shipping or arrange a replacement without requiring the original item back.
  • For all other approved returns: the customer is responsible for return shipping. We recommend a trackable method as we cannot be responsible for items lost in return transit.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of approval. Store credit will be issued within 1 to 2 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

Non-Returnable Items

The following are non-returnable and non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered in any way
  • Items returned without prior written approval from Grieving Is Breathing
  • Items returned outside the 14-day window
  • Digital products or downloadable content
  • Sale or discounted items (unless defective)

Fraudulent Claims and Chargebacks

Any attempt to falsely claim non-delivery, damage, or defect in order to obtain a refund while retaining the product is considered fraud and may be reported to relevant authorities and payment processors.

If a chargeback is filed before contacting us, we reserve the right to submit all order records, delivery confirmation, and communication history to dispute the claim. We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly before initiating any chargeback. Most issues can be resolved quickly and amicably.

Intellectual Property

All designs featured on Grieving Is Breathing products are the original intellectual property of Grieving Is Breathing and are protected under applicable copyright law. Purchasing a product does not transfer any design rights to the buyer. Reproduction, copying, or commercial use of any design without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.
